The Bahrain Runners Committee of the Bahrain Athletics Federation organized the annual Seef Mall 21.1 km Half Marathon race on Friday, January 13th, 2023. The race started from Seef Mall, passing through the Seef area and Reef Island, reaching the financial harbor and then returning to the finish line at Seef Mall.
The race was characterized by clear enthusiasm from all participants who expressed their great happiness in participating in this special event. At the end of the race, cups and cash prizes were distributed to the winners in the first places in men, women categories and people with special needs.
The Bahrain Runners Committee confirmed that the annual half marathon race comes as an extension of the existing and ongoing cooperation between the committee and Seef Properties, which aims to create a fair competitive atmosphere between participants of both genders in the committee’s races during the recent period. The committee also expressed its appreciation for the unlimited support and continuous cooperation it enjoys from Seef Properties, which contributes to achieving a distinctive atmosphere for participants in its races.
This event comes within the framework of the Bahrain Runners Committee’s keenness to spread sports culture and promote public health in society, and annual plan, which includes holding a series of races and running activities in cooperation with various public and private sector institutions. It is worth noting that the committee will organize its annual marathon race of 42.2km on February 3rd, 2023, and its annual Cross Island Race on February 17th, 2023. The committee also expresses its great pride towards the volunteers and cooperation of many governmental and private bodies and institutions in organizing this event, such as the General Sports Authority, the Ministry of Interior, the General Traffic Department, the Royal Bahrain Hospital, the Be Ready Team, Fitness First Company, Bukari Suit Company, and Maina Company, which assure the community partnership.
