Al Shabab Club won the national clubs youth track and field championship, which was organized by the Bahrain Athletics Association at the Khalifa Sports City track last Sunday and Monday as part of the 2023 sports season competitions.
Al Shabab took first place in the overall standings after winning 15 medals, including 9 Gold, 4 Silver, and two Bronze, while Um AlHasam came in second place with 16 medals, including 4 Gold, 6 Silver, and 4 Bronze, and Al-Ahli came third with 6 colored medals, including 2 Silver and 4 Bronze.
Youth category competitions were held in the 4 x 400m, 4 x 100m, triple jump, 400m, long jump, and 200m, and for girls in the 200m and 800m.
Um AlHassam Club was crowned champion of the National Clubs Track and Field Championship in the Cubs category after winning 83 points, Al-Shabab Club came second with 44 points, Al-Hala Club third with 23 points, and Al-Ahli Club fourth with 4 points. The Cubs category competitions were held in the 80m and the long jump.
After the competitions settled down on the first day, the two members of the Board of Directors, Ruqaya Al Ghasra and Khalid Al-Qatami, crowned the winners of the first three places, while the director of the national teams, Mohamed Abdulaziz, crowned the clubs first three places and presented cups to the first place, in the presence of the member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Competitions Committee and the Referees, Mohamed Ali Ahmed.
The Competitions Committee and referees, headed by Mr. Mohamed Ali Ahmed, made great efforts to produce all competitions in the best possible way, supported with full cooperation from all clubs, players, and technical and administrative crews.
