With the presence of the Vice President of the Bahrain Athletics Association and the President of the Academy, Mr. Khalid Al Dosari, and both members of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Competitions Committee and Referees, Muhammad Ali Ahmed, and the Treasurer & Media and Public Relations Committee, Eng. Bader Naser, and the Director of the National Teams, Mohamed Abdulaziz, with the participation of a group of talented people and athletes of both genders. Faisal Bin Khalid Athletics Academy for Talented organized the first Ramadan competition, which was held on the track of the Bahrain National Stadium on Wednesday evening, April 12th, 2023.
The first Ramadan competition, supervised by the technical director of the talented and former international star Saad Shadad and coach Tariq Kassai, the event witnessed a large participation of male and female runners, as the talented athletes contested in many competitions, such as the 60m for boys, 100m for boys & girls, the long jump for boys & girls, the high jump for boys & girls, 300m for boys only, 600m for both, 200m for girls, and 4×100 relay for boys.
At the end of the competitions, Mr. Khalid Al Dosari crowned all the first place winners, praising the remarkable levels the male and female runners presented during the championship, which reflect the good abilities they possess and the potential that indicates a promising future.
Al Dosari stressed that the first Ramadan competition comes within the framework of the Faisal Bin Khalid Athletics Academy for Talented and the keenness of organizing many activities and competitions that contribute to developing the gifted athletes, highlighting their abilities and energies, and forming a new generation of runners, in line with the goals for which the academy was established, wishing all participants good luck and success.
