Solidarity launches its annual race in cooperation with the Bahrain Runners Committee

Solidarity organized its annual race in cooperation with the Bahrain Runners Committee of the Bahrain Athletics Federation on Friday, March 10th, 2023. Where a race for 7 km was organized, another race specifically for children, and a 2 km walk race event were organized. All activities started from Water Garden City, passing through Reef Island, then returning to the finish line in Water Garden City.

The annual Solidarity Race is a unique one as it is emerged from the insurance sector, which provides an opportunity for athletes and families to enjoy running or walking in the open air. The annual Solidarity Race is also an initiative to promote healthy living among different ages, nationalities, and people of determination in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Mr. Ashraf Bseiso, CEO of Solidarity Holding Company, commented on this occasion: “We are pleased to announce the resounding success witnessed by this event, which in turn contributed to achieving a distinctive atmosphere for participants, from different age groups. We are also pleased to announce that all proceeds from the race will be donated to Alia School for Early Intervention, due to our keenness to always participate in activities that touch the Bahraini community as a form of community partnership.” He also added: “We extend our sincere thanks to the main supporter (Bupa Global), and to the Bahrain Runners Committee for their distinguished organization of the event and to all participants for this great sporting event.”

Shaikh Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Bahrain Runners Committee, also stated: “This event comes within the framework of the Bahrain Runners Committee’s keenness to spread sports culture and enhance public health in society. He added: “The Bahrain Runners Committee expresses its sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Interior, the General Traffic Department, and the employees of the General Sports Authority. Also thanks extended to the volunteers and the cooperation of many governmental and private bodies and institutions in holding this event, the Royal Bahrain Hospital, the Be Reay Team, Fitness First Company, Bukari Sweet Company, and Maina Company, within the framework of the community partnership.

The race was characterized by clear enthusiasm from all participants who expressed their great happiness in participating in this special event. At the end of the race, cups and cash prizes were distributed to the winners in the first places for men & women and children.
