The Athletics Association organizes the annual Children’s Festival with participation of 110 male and female students

The Bahrain Athletics Association organized the Children’s Athletics Festival, which is celebrated annually in various countries around the world on May 7th yearly depending on the invitation of the International Association of Athletics Federations, with the aim of encouraging children to practice sports and athletics in particular.

About 110 male and female students from Al Naseem International Private School and Sakina Bint Al Hussain Primary School for Girls participated in the Children’s Athletics Festival, where a series of competitions were organized in running, jumping, relay, tug of war, and many other competitions, with active participation from male and female students.

The celebration was held within the framework of the existing partnership between the Bahrain Athletics Association and the Department of Physical Education at the Ministry of Education, where approximately 40 students from Al Naseem School and 70 students from Sakina Bint Al Hussein Primary School for Girls participated, under the supervision of the technical and administrative staff of the Faisal Bin Khalid Athletics Academy for Talented, as well as Mrs. Abeer Al Dosari the Bahrain Athletics Association Public Relations Specialist.

The Bahraini Athletics Association is keen annually to share with the world and celebrate the Children’s Festival based on its continuous efforts to spread the athletics among children of both sexes, encourage them to practice sports, instill a culture of athletics in them, create a promising generation that loves athletics, and expand the base of this sport, in addition to create a diverse entertainment atmosphere that attracts the largest number of children through the events and activities associated with the festival.
